  • System of Play – The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE laws of chess and FIDE Swiss System with 10 rounds in all the 3 categories. The latest FIDE rules in force shall apply.
  • For Indian Players, AICF registration for the year 2025-2026 is compulsory. To renew https://prs.aicf.in/players To register – https://prs.aicf.in/new-register/
  • For Karnataka players, KSCA registration for the year 2025-2026 is compulsory. To register – https://karnatakachess.com/player-registration/
  • For foreign players, a valid FIDE ID is mandatory.
  • Appeals committee will be formed before the start of the tournament comprising of 5 members. Appeals committee decision will be final and will be binding on all the concerned players.
  • Tie-break : Incase of tie, latest FIDE rules shall come into effect as per AICF guidelines. However the cash prizes will not be shared. One player is eligible for one higher prize only.
  • Protest, if any, against the decision of the arbiter, chief arbiter, shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs. 1000/- within 15 minutes after completion of the game to the committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
  • Withdrawals: After informing the chief arbiter in writing, a player may withdraw at any stage of the event.
  • FIDE Fair Play Regulations will be in force, and players must respect the rules. Players are not allowed to carry mobile phones, wristwatches (of any type) and other electronic devices to the playing area, during the tournament.
  • There will be tax deductions of foreign players’ prize money as per the Govt. guidelines. Indian Income Tax Act and Rules will be applicable.
  • Prize money will be transferred via online mode and in INR (Indian National Rupee) only.
  • No Waiver/no refunds : No request towards waiver of entry fee or waiver of late fee will be entertained.
  • Participation in this tournament will be accepted as the player’s consent to take
    photos, videos in this event for publishing and promotions.
  • Certificate will be awarded to all the participants.
