Following the tremendous success of the inaugural edition, the 2nd Namma BIG Open Chess Tournament is organized by Bangalore International Grandmasters Tournament Committee – a formidable team of chess organizers, experts and players. The tournament is under the aegis of Karnataka State Chess Association (KSCA), All India Chess Federation (AICF) and International Chess Federation (FIDE).
Govt. of Karnataka, Ministry of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Sports Authority of India and Karnataka Olympic Association.
With titled players from various chess federations converging in Bengaluru, this tournament qualifies as a norm tournament. For those looking to work towards achieving their Grandmaster (GM) and International Master (IM) norms, this tournament offers a valuable opportunity.
